Praov Cave is located in the Mount Praov 12 km northeast of Kermanshah, between Taq Bostan and Bisotun Mountains. This cave is located south of a region called Pravo Square, 300 meters below the Sheikh Ali Khan Peak (Pravo Peak). Pravo in the local language (Kurdish) means full of water. The Pravo cave was discovered 40 years ago. It was then the largest vertical cave in the world, and it was called the Everest Cave of the world. After the discovery of Pravo Cave, deeper caves were discovered. The Praov Cave is ranked 212th in the list of the world's deepest caves. One of the unique features of the Provo cave is its mouth's altitude which is 3,000 meters above sea level. This height is the highest level among all the caves in the world.
