Mazandaran Province - 12 km from Behshahr City - Southeast of Caspian Sea
The Miankaleh Peninsula is in the southeastern part of the Caspian Sea, located 12 kilometers north of Behshahr in Mazandaran Province. The area of the peninsula is more than sixty thousand hectares with an altitude of 15 to 28 meters below sea level. This peninsula separates the Gulf of Gorgan from the Caspian Sea. The peninsula has been as a cattle ranch for a long time now.
